The New York trombonist Erick Storckman and the Esslingen guitarist Sven Götz have been musically friends for several years.
Erick is very busy in NYC as a trombonist, arranger and composer, has released three of his own albums as a leader and has played with Joe Lovano, Aretha Franklin, Blood Sweat and Tears and many other internationally known artists. Since studying at the Stuttgart University of Music, Sven has been part of the South German scene as a guitarist and composer, giving international concerts with his Swedish Quartet and Captured Moments, among others. He is also musical director and composer at various theaters and more.
The warm and powerful sound of the trombone and guitar is complemented by the outstanding and creative musicians Axel Kühn from Tübingen and Felix Schrack from Stuttgart. Together with this convincing rhythm section, irresistible grooves and a dense, interwoven sound spectrum are created. Played sensitively and clearly and presented in an exciting and entertaining way, the mostly original compositions are a fresh and energetic jazz that shimmers, moves and never loses touch with reality.
